Graduate and Licensure Students

Greensboro College offers six graduate degrees and opportunities to acquire your teaching licensure. Our programs for our graduate and professional students offer one-on-one faculty attention, as well as in-depth and application-based academic curriculums to help students succeed in their careers and in life.
Admissions Criteria
Our graduate and professional student admission requirements vary by degree. However, upon admission, all applicants must have:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Undergraduate GPA 3.0 or higher
- Two letters of recommendation
- Writing sample and/or essay submission
- A transcript evaluation by a NACES-approved agency for any degree earned outside of the United States and for evaluation of transfer credit. International students may use any approved member at naces.org or use the SpanTran portal here: SpanTran tool
Programs and Requirements
Greensboro College offers the following graduate degree and advanced licensure programs. Each have unique application requirements:
- Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
- Master of Education in Birth-Kindergarten Education
- Master of Education in Elementary Education
- Master of Education in Special Education–General Curriculum, or in Special Education–Adapted Curriculum
- Master of Arts in Theology, Ethics, and Culture
- Licensure Plus Master of Arts in Teaching for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
- Licensure Plus Master of Arts in Elementary or Special Education
- PAL (Piedmont Alternative Licensure) Program
- Post Baccalaureate Licensure Only Programs
