Within the context of a liberal arts education, our Political Science and Legal Administration program is dedicated to providing training for life in a world heavily shaped by political cultures, ideas, and institutions. We provide students with the tools for political participation in their community, state, nation, and world. With our committed teaching and well-rounded legal and political science curriculum, programs in the Department of Political Science and Legal Administration prepare students to pursue a career path in law, business, teaching, journalism, and government.

Majors and Minors


  • Legal Administration Certificate

    With course curriculum similar to the minor, this certificate was designed as a qualified paralegal studies program by the North Carolina State Bar, Board of Paralegal Certification. Completion of this program and other state requirements, including an associate’s or bachelor’s degree, may lead to North Carolina State Bar paralegal certification.

Joshua currently studies astrodynamics at Virginia Tech University and is an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. Candidate.
