Village 401
GC’s Top Community Service Organization
Village 401 provides a platform for those who believe in putting others before themselves, kindness and compassion over everything, and always spreading love and positivity. If these are the values that you aspire to have or already possess, then this is the perfect organization for you.
We aim to enhance your collegiate career by stepping away from the comfort of academics and athletics and focusing on the intrinsic value that volunteering and helping out those in need provides. We host a multitude of community service events and projects each semester, many of which have become staple events at Greensboro College.
Village 401 Events
- Neewollah: a Halloween based-event comprised of fun games, dorm hall trick-or-treating, and art activities hosted for the members of the Boys and Girls Club of Greensboro to enjoy.
- Angel Tree: a Christmas-themed event where each member of the Boys and Girls Club of Greensboro is invited to campus for dinner where they enjoy great food and entertainment and receive unique gifts specifically tailored to their interests.
- Souper Bowl Food Drive: a yearly fall semester food drive hosted in collaboration with other organizations on and off campus to collect food for the Pride Pantry and other food insecurity resources in the Greensboro community.
- National Homelessness and Hunger Awareness Week: a three-day series of events focused on simulating homelessness and hunger in order to raise awareness, and taking direct action by packing meals and goodie bags to be donated to homeless shelters.
- Project LEAP: celebrating Easter with the Boys and Girls Club of Greensboro by hosting a campus-wide egg hunt for them to enjoy, in addition to other fun games, surprises, and food.
- Relay 4 Life: a fundraising and awareness event honoring those who have lost their battle with cancer, are currently fighting cancer, and/or have won their battle against cancer; an event based on taking multiple laps around Greensboro College.

Village 401 wishes to help you cultivate that further and truly make your passion a part of who you are as a person. We hope that by creating an organization that allows students to freely explore their identity, we end up with strong, civic-minded individuals ready to make a profound impact on both the Greensboro College community and our society as a whole.
