Pride Pantry
A supplemental food resource for all students.
No student should ever have to choose between focusing on their studies and meeting their basic needs. That’s why Pride Pantries exist—to provide free, accessible food and personal care items right where you need them, on campus.
Pride Pantry Locations
We have four pantries located all around campus and are able to be used freely by anybody:
- Pride Pantry Headquarters (in the Student Center, across the Pride Shop)
- Greensboro Hall Lobby (across from the Student Health Center)
- Global Communications Center (in the kitchen area)
- West Hall Lobby (in the lounge and study area)
Common Items in the Pantry
Each pantry has a variety of food and personal hygiene products. Listed below, but not limited to, is a short list of what you could find in the pantries:
- Snacks
- Mac & cheese
- Instant Ramen
- Minute Rice
- Oatmeal
- Canned meats, vegetables, and soups
- Shampoo and soap
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Sanitary pads
- Tampons
The pantries are restocked on a consistent basis. We are trying our best to maximize our resources and funds to make the Pride Pantries as efficient and as sustainable as possible. In an event where the pantries are not sufficiently stocked, please come to the Pride Pantry Headquarters for access to a wider variety of items. We appreciate your patience with us!
Volunteer for the Pride Pantry!
Volunteering for the Pride Pantry is one of the best ways to get involved with the Greensboro College community and have something meaningful in your resume, something that truly makes you stand out.
Our organization has been involved in many food insecurity-related campus-wide and state-wide efforts, with most notably our participation during the 2023 and 2024 NC Hunger Challenges. In both years, we came away with the first place grand prize of $10,000 in competition against many notable North Carolina collegiate campuses.
Being a part of the Pride Pantry Team is an honor and a privilege. We are always looking for people to join us in the fight against food insecurity. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact rbrewer@greensboro.edu.
