Welcome Week is the follow-up to your virtual PAWS experience. Built on tradition, designed to educate, and highlighted with fun events and social activities, Welcome Week is a combination of optional and mandatory events for all incoming traditional students. Students will receive a full schedule of events at check-in.
All traditional students are required to attend check-in. This is where you receive your Pride Card (student ID card), parking pass, and keys to your residence hall. Be sure to read the How to Prepare section below to make your check-in process as smooth as possible!
Fall Student Athlete Check-in: TBA
New Traditional Student Check-in: Saturday, August 15, 2020 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Returning Traditional Student Check-in: Tuesday, August 18, 2020 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
All College Check-ins will be held in the lobby of Odell Building.
All incoming traditional students are required to attend the following events during Welcome Week.
Sunday, August 16 & Monday, August 17
All traditional incoming students will be required to attend an in-person PAWS orientation program. This will compliment the online PAWS orientation offered throughout the summer. Students will receive a full schedule at check-in on Saturday, August 15.
Pride R.O.A.R. Sexual Misconduct Training
Tuesday, August 18 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., Hannah Brown Finch Memorial Chapel
This is a mandatory student training focused on Greensboro College policies related to sexual assault and bystander intervention.
Thursday, August 20 11:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Gail Brower Huggins Performance Center, Odell Building
A long-standing tradition at Greensboro College where incoming students are formally recognized and welcomed as the newest members of our academic community.
Convocation is a formal event. Please dress appropriately!
