PAWS Dates for Traditional Students Entering in Fall 2022

PAWS is a one-day new student orientation program during the summer where students:

  • Learn about campus life and opportunities to get involved
  • Receive information about the academic curriculum and academic services
  • Register for classes and receive guidance about class schedules
  • Meet faculty, staff, and other incoming students
  • Complete paperwork and ask questions related to financial aid and student accounts

Each PAWS session will be capped at 60 students, so we strongly encourage you to register early in order to get the date that best fits your schedule!

  • Friday, June 24 – Deadline to register is Monday, June 20
  • Friday, July 15 – Deadline to register is Monday, July 11
  • Friday, July 29 – Deadline to register is Monday, July 25

Sessions will be taken off the registration form once they reach the 60-student maximum. This may happen before the registration deadline!

Students attending PAWS are limited to a maximum of two guests.  No exceptions will be made to this policy!  All guests are required to pay a $15 registration fee with cash or credit card on the morning of the student’s PAWS session.

Masks are required for ALL attendees at PAWS orientation programs.

Students should plan to arrive on campus between 8:30am-9:15am to check-in for the day’s program in Main Building.  PAWS will wrap up around 5pm.

How to Prepare

While it will be hot outside, we’ll keep it nice and cool indoors so we recommend dressing in layers and bringing an umbrella in case of a summer shower.

If you have questions about your immunizations or health insurance requirements, you’re welcome to bring those documents with you.

Make sure you’ve sent in final official transcripts from any college or university where you have completed coursework.  This includes courses taken through an early college or high school program.  It is a good idea to also bring a copy of those transcripts with you to show academic advisors during the advising and registration portion of the day.  This will help us create the most accurate and efficient course schedule for you!

Bring a smile!  Students will be taking their Pride Card (student ID) picture in the morning.
