Greensboro College’s Bogdan to speak on Universal Design for Learning

GREENSBORO, N.C.– Georgieann Bogdan, director of the Office of Accessibility at Greensboro College, has been invited to speak at the 2017 Georgia Independent College Association Chief Student Affairs Officers’ Meeting about “Universal Design for Learning with Students on the Spectrum.” The meeting takes place May 24 in Gainesville, Ga.

Bogdan joined the staff of Greensboro College in August 2016. Her prior experience includes eight years as coordinator of disability resources at Guilford College, three years as a teacher at Noble Academy, and various teaching and research positions at UNCG and Wake Forest University. She has extensive experience with accessibility services, UDL (Universal Design for Learning), and assistive technology.

Greensboro College provides a liberal arts education grounded in the traditions of the United Methodist Church and fosters the intellectual, social, and, spiritual development of all students while supporting their individual needs.

Founded in 1838 and located in downtown Greensboro, the college enrolls about 1,000 students from 29 states and territories, the District of Columbia, and seven foreign countries in its undergraduate liberal-arts program and four master’s degree programs.
