Greensboro College Names D’andre Hardy Director of Retention

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College has named D’andre Hardy director of retention. She began work May 6.

In that role, she will oversee the college’s student retention efforts as part of its larger effort to increase student persistence and graduation rates with a five-year, $1.93 million Title III grant from the U.S. Department of Education, awarded this past October.

Title III grants are intended to help colleges and universities serve low-income students.

Hardy comes to Greensboro College from Credo Higher Education Consulting in Whitsett, N.C., where she had been project manager for student success since April 2017. Credo has worked with Greensboro College on a number of projects.

Previously, she had been an academic advisor for four years in the Student Success Center at Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem. Prior to that, she served as assistant director for tutoring services in Special Support Services in the Student Success Center at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Hardy holds a B.A. in communication studies from the University of North Texas and an M.Ed. in student personnel administration in higher education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
