  • Studio Art Major

    Studio Art majors can explore their ideas and express their interests in creating beauty, meaning, and power through their art. Students gain a better understanding of art history, as well as how to manipulate art and media used by advertisers, designers, and other organizations.


  • Music Education Major

    Students in the major earn their teaching licensure: state certifications required by K-12 schools. With a 100% job placement rate, our Bachelor of Music Education graduates are proven to succeed in a competitive job market.


  • Music Major

    Students in the major receive a well-rounded music theory, history, literature, and performance foundation while honing their chosen music concentration. All incoming majors are required to (1) audition, (2) be tested in ear training and sight singing, (3) sight read, and (4) be interviewed by members of the Music Department.


  • Theatre Major

    The Theatre Department offers a practical liberal arts degree in Theatre. Course work is integrated with production work, allowing the techniques discovered in the classroom and studio setting to be applied in rehearsals and performances both on campus and at summer theatres around the country through internships and apprenticeships. Dr. Josh Fitzgerald earned his master's from Virginia Tech University (studied astrodynamics) as well as earning an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. He joined the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX as an Advanced Mission Design Engineer, optimizing trajectories for the Artemis II and III missions to return humans to the moon.
