Rebecca F. Blomgren

Rebecca Blomgren graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Special and Elementary Education and from UNC-G with a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction – Critical Theory. She has served on most Greensboro College committees and acted as the Founding Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Education. She also served as the Dean of Professional and Graduate Studies. As Director of Teacher Education she has participated on a number of state organizations serving on the Governor’s appointed Professional Standards Commission, the North Carolina Association of Teacher Educators executive board and president, and a number of Federal and State education grants. She established the Piedmont Alternative Licensure program which has provided licensure programs for over 1,000 non-traditional teachers across the state. Dr. Blomgren enjoys hiking, biking and kayaking but the joy of her life is her wonderful grandson!

Dr. Josh Fitzgerald earned his master's from Virginia Tech University (studied astrodynamics) as well as earning an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. He joined the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX as an Advanced Mission Design Engineer, optimizing trajectories for the Artemis II and III missions to return humans to the moon.
