Director of Annual Giving

(Full-time; 12 months)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Annual Giving’s primary responsibility is the strategic execution and management of a comprehensive annual giving program that supports the college’s scholarship and operating budgets. The candidate will develop a coordinated matrix of communication and solicitation strategies involving email, direct mail, phone/mail, personal visitation, and volunteer engagement, all focused on shaping a sustainable tradition of annual support. The Director will work with gift processing, data management and alumni engagement in an effort to foster growth of best practices in these areas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Develop and monitor an annual budget and solicitation plan for the procurement of College Fund gifts.

· Focus on effective communication and solicitation activities within specific constituency segments identified as having potential for the greatest growth.

· Works with the Executive Director for Development and Alumni Relations regarding the faculty/staff campaign and student giving program.

· Design segmentation strategies, materials, and procedures for the Phonathon program and implementation of and follow-up for the program.

· Oversee annual giving societies and work with Athletic staff (Greensboro College Society & One Pride Club). This includes membership solicitation, recognition, and stewardship.
