Assistant Men’s and Women’s Swim Coach

The Assistant Men’s & Women’s Swim Coach must be knowledgeable of the sport of swimming, understand the basic fundamentals of conducting practices and skill development, managing data entry for recruiting and  alumni engagement using the athletic department ARMS software, and interfacing regularly with the Sports Information Director for social media utilization, event recaps, and website information.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Helps to implement and develop practice plans and home meet management when assigned
  • Actively helps with new student recruitment and facilitating campus visits when assigned
  • Travels with the teams to meets and events
  • Available for individual and team meetings with student-athletes
  • Available to help with daily office duties when needed
  • Assists in promoting the sport of swimming on college social media sites
  • Willing to lifeguard/cover pool activities when needed
  • Assists with basic pool maintenance and management as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • College level participation in the sport of swimming preferred but not required
  • Lifeguard and CPR certification required
  • Experience with pool maintenance and management preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
