Readmissions Details

  • If you had a break in enrollment from Greensboro College and you are ready to return, we ask that you complete a readmission application.
  • If you attended Greensboro College in the last seven years, you will only need to provide official transcripts from colleges attended since leaving Greensboro College.
  • If you attended Greensboro College more than seven years ago, you may need to provide official transcripts from all colleges attended. In either case, you do not need to provide a Greensboro College transcript. Click here for the readmission application.
  • Readmission for students who were academically withdrawn or suspended from Greensboro College must be approved by the Scholastic Standing Committee. Please contact admissions@greensboro.edu for information about procedures for returning to GC.  Applications for readmission from academically suspended students will not be accepted on or after the first day of classes for the term in which the student is seeking enrollment.
  • Any previous disciplinary penalties (sanctions), or outstanding issues, including financial balances, related to your enrollment must be cleared by appropriate offices before you are considered for readmission.

We recommend you submit your application at least 30 days before the start of term to allow sufficient time for readmission.

Dr. Josh Fitzgerald, Greensboro College class of 2019

“I loved the GC Honors program and Greensboro College. I felt safe and a sense of genuine belonging at the college. I worked closely with my thesis advisor and professors who helped inspire me to define my path and passion of interest. That path has led me to complete my doctoral studies in Engineering Mechanics.”

- Dr. Josh Fitzgerald, Class of ’19, Mathematics Major

Dr. Josh Fitzgerald earned his master's from Virginia Tech University (studied astrodynamics) as well as earning an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. He joined the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX as an Advanced Mission Design Engineer, optimizing trajectories for the Artemis II and III missions to return humans to the moon.
