Our Accounting Department offers a well-rounded, challenging curriculum that aligns with the different demands of business.

Accounting Department students develop a solid foundation in their chosen profession and, as students in the School of Business, sharpen the necessary critical thinking and analytical skills needed for career success. With small classes and caring professors, accounting students receive extensive academic guidance from accredited experts. Outside of the classroom, students also benefit from career mentorship and assistance connecting with various companies for internships and employment after graduation.   • Accounting Major

    Through small classes and frequent interactions with accounting faculty, pursuing a bachelor of science degree in accounting heightens the potential for pursuing a career in well-established businesses.

  • Accounting Minor

    Students gain a foundational understanding of key accounting practices within the industry. By adding an accounting minor, the additional fundamental accounting techniques alongside a different major is advantageous for staying competitive in the job market. Minors require 20 credits to complete.

Dr. Josh Fitzgerald earned his master's from Virginia Tech University (studied astrodynamics) as well as earning an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. He joined the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX as an Advanced Mission Design Engineer, optimizing trajectories for the Artemis II and III missions to return humans to the moon.
