Greensboro College Names 2017-2018 Student Marshals (4/25/2017)

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College has named 17 rising seniors its student marshals for 2017-2018.

They are:

  • Abigail Elizabeth Bügger, a religion and sociology/human services major from Raleigh, N.C.
  • Benedict A. Burgess, a theatre/acting major from Earlysville, Va.
  • Tesla Ann Chapman, a music/performance major from Franklinville, N.C.
  • Hannah Leigh Clayton, an athletic training major from Willow Spring, N.C.
  • Ryan John Cole, an elementary-education major from Greensboro, N.C.
  • Kelvina Dorcas Dei-Tumi, an accounting major from Ludington, Mich.
  • Jessica Faye Edwards, a biology major from Winston-Salem, N.C.
  • Adelaide Leigh Elliott, an English & Communication Studies and sociology/cultural studies major from Walnut Cove, N.C.
  • Lauren Aubrey Ellis, an exercise & sport study/exercise science major from Garner, N.C.
  • Joshua Taylor Fitzgerald, a mathematics major from Elon, N.C.
  • Faith Marie Hood, a middle-grades language-arts education major from Kings Mountain, N.C.
  • Kaylee Nicole Johnson, a health/physical education major from Statesville, N.C.
  • Allison Renee Killette, a special-education major from Whitsett, N.C.
  • Dorothy Elizabeth Medlin, a sociology/cultural studies and English major from Gastonia, N.C.
  • Kinsley Claire Prendergast, a criminal-justice major from Mebane, N.C.
  • Manuel Roman Antunez, an accounting and business administration/economics major from Hendersonville, N.C.
  • Hayley Michelle Tickle, a biology/allied-health major from Mount Airy, N.C.

Student marshals are the students with the highest-ranking grade-point averages in the junior class. They will lead academic ceremonies beginning with the Baccalaureate/Cap & Gown Ceremony and Commencement in May and continuing through the Alumni Awards/Senior Investiture Convocation in April 2018.

Joshua currently studies astrodynamics at Virginia Tech University and is an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. Candidate.
