Greensboro College Chapter of Psychology Honor Society Inducts New Members

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College’s chapter of the Psi Chi national honor society in psychology has inducted six new members.

They are:

  • Carissa Caudle, a senior Biology/Radiation Technology-Allied Health major from High Point, N.C.
  • Timothy Crowell, a junior psychology and English & Communication Studies major from Pinnacle, N.C.
  • Kayla Martin, a junior psychology major from Liberty, N.C.
  • Alexa Rehling, a sophomore psychology major from Columbia, S.C.
  • Destiney Allen, a junior psychology major from Lincolnton, N.C.
  • Elizabeth Moize, a senior elementary education major from Graham, N.C.

Psi Chi was founded in 1929 at Yale University and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society. Greensboro College’s chapter was chartered in 1996.

Psi Chi inductees must be at least second-semester sophomores, be enrolled as psychology majors or minors, have completed at least nine semester hours or 14 quarter hours of psychology courses, have an overall GPA in the top 35% of their respective classes and at least a 3.0 overall average on a 4.0 scale, and have at least a 3.0 average in their psychology courses.

Greensboro College provides a liberal arts education grounded in the traditions of the United Methodist Church and fosters the intellectual, social, and, spiritual development of all students while supporting their individual needs.

Founded in 1838 and located in downtown Greensboro, the college enrolls about 1,000 students from 29 states and territories, the District of Columbia, and seven foreign countries in its undergraduate liberal-arts program and four master’s degree programs. In addition to rigorous academics and a well-supported Honors program, the school features an 18-sport, NCAA Division III athletic program and dozens of service and recreational opportunities.

Joshua currently studies astrodynamics at Virginia Tech University and is an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. Candidate.
