Greensboro College Chapter of Sociology Honor Society Inducts New Member

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College chapter of the Alpha Kappa Delta national honor society in sociology has inducted a new member.

She is Kathryn Marie Stevens, a junior criminal justice and psychology major from Boone, N.C.

Alpha Kappa Delta was founded in 1920 at the University of Southern California and now has more than 650 chapters. It is affiliated with the American Sociological Society. Greensboro College’s Omicron chapter was established in 1991.

Inductees must be a declared sociology major or have a demonstrated interest in sociology; be at least a junior; rank in the top 35% of their academic class; and have completed at least four sociology classes at the institution with a grade-point average in those courses of 3.0 or better.
