Collection: Minor

  • English Minor

    Students gain a foundational understanding of English literature and theory. Minors require 20 credits to complete.


  • Games & Interactive Media Minor

    Students complete the games and interactive media minor by taking 20 credit hours of coursework that spans ECM and many other disciplines.


  • Sports Communication Minor

    A sports communication minor can be completed with 20 credit hours in selected media production, communication, English, and kinesiology courses.


  • Communication Minor

    Students gain a basic understanding of communication theories and practices. A minor sharpens critical thinking skills and provides fundamental tools in verbal and nonverbal communication that everyone needs in their everyday lives. Minors require 20 credits to complete.


  • Creative Writing Minor

    Students develop their creativity through foundational writing coursework. In addition to becoming more innovative thinkers, creative writing minors develop more empathy and compassion for others through their writing and storytelling, which ultimately helps them gain a better understanding of the world.


  • Business Analytics Minor

    Greensboro College’s Business Analytics program teaches what you need to utilize data from a business, detect its challenges, and prescribe solutions.


  • Music Minor

    Students receive foundational understanding of musical knowledge, appreciation, and talents. Minors require 20 credits to complete.


  • Dance Minor

    Greensboro College’s Dance minor lets students at any level explore various dance styles, including ballet, tap, and jazz, as well as learn different body awareness, posture, and tension release techniques. There are performance opportunities each semester. The dance minor requires 20 credits to complete and is open and available to all Greensboro College students.


  • Theatre Minor

    Students gain a basic understanding of the different facets of theatre and have the opportunity to participate in select production work. Minors require 20 credits to complete.

Dr. Josh Fitzgerald earned his master's from Virginia Tech University (studied astrodynamics) as well as earning an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. He joined the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX as an Advanced Mission Design Engineer, optimizing trajectories for the Artemis II and III missions to return humans to the moon.
