School of humanities

Attention storytellers, communicators, and empathetic thinkers!

Our School of Humanities gives you the opportunity to study what it means to be human. From discussing ethics and studying history to analyzing literature and sharing new perspectives, humanities students always try to dig a little deeper to understand the different facets of life—as any thought leader would do.

Why Greensboro College?

At Greensboro College, humanities students know it isn’t a matter of asking, “What can I do with my degree?” but rather, “What can’t I do with my degree?” In the School of Humanities, students have an opportunity to learn and master persuasive communication, critical thinking, and creative problem solving – skills that make you unstoppable not just in your career, but in life.

Dr. Josh Fitzgerald, Greensboro College class of 2019

“I loved the GC Honors program and Greensboro College. I felt safe and a sense of genuine belonging at the college. I worked closely with my thesis advisor and professors who helped inspire me to define my path and passion of interest. That path has led me to complete my doctoral studies in Engineering Mechanics.”
