Greensboro College Theatre Presents “Step on a Crack” Feb. 8
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College Theatre presents “Step on a Crack” at 2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, Feb. 8-9, in Mane Stage in the college’s Royce Reynolds Family Student Life Center.

The Reynolds Center is at 1015 W. Market St. (corner of Tate Street). Free parking is available.
“Step on a Crack,” directed by theatre major Victoria LeBaron ’20, brilliantly captures the contemporary theatrical fantasies of Ellie, a little girl who happily lived with her widowed father, Max. But now, suddenly, life is different. Max has remarried, and Ellie has a stepmother.
Ellie and her imaginary friends, Lana and Frizbee, launch into a fantasy world as Ellie seeks to escape real-life problems. Only by running away and discovering what it is really like to be alone does Ellie begin to come to terms with herself and her own need for a mother.
The Greensboro College Department of Theatre seeks to provide a strong foundation in theatre while allowing the student to emphasize in a particular area of theatre.
The coursework is integrated with the production work to provide a better understanding of the many facets of the theatre. Required participation on stage or backstage on all theatre productions allows the techniques and theories that are examined in the classroom and the laboratory to be tested in a performance setting.
Depending upon their emphasis of choice, upon completion of the degree, students will be prepared to enter graduate school or a theatre conservatory, intern full-time with a theatre organization, teach theatre or seek careers in the profession.
