Greensboro College Presents Alumni Choral Concert April 14

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College presents its annual Alumni Choral Concert, 4 p.m. Sunday, April 14, in Hannah Brown Finch Memorial Chapel on campus.

The event, part of Alumni Reunion Weekend festivities, is free and open to the public. Free parking is available behind the college’s Admissions Welcome Center at West Market Street and College Place.

The Greensboro College Chorale, Chamber Singers, and Alumni Choir will be joined by the Weaver Academy Chorale. The ensembles will be accompanied by the Greensboro College Chamber Orchestra. Jon Brotherton, professor of music, will direct.

The program includes Franz Schubert’s “Mass in G,” Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Cantata No. 150 (‘Lord, my soul doth thirst for thee’),” and Ralph Vaughn Williams’s “Serenade to Music,” with lyrics from Shakespeare’s “The Merchant of Venice.”
