Greensboro College Names Suzanne Suddarth Director of Certification Development

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College has named Suzanne Suddarth director of certification development and innovative programs.

In that role, she will create and collaborate with faculty to offer certification classes to benefit both Greensboro College students and the larger community. She also will administer and promote those classes.

Suddarth comes to Greensboro College from Guilford College’s Professional Development and Training Center, where she had worked since 2003, first as an admissions counselor and program assistant and later as assistant director and program coordinator.

Previously, she had worked in retail and furniture sales and as art director for ShowBiz magazine. She served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1982 to 1986.

She holds a B.A. from Guilford College and an M.A. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Greensboro College provides a liberal arts education grounded in the traditions of the United Methodist Church and fosters the intellectual, social, and, spiritual development of all students while supporting their individual needs.

Founded in 1838 and located in downtown Greensboro, the college enrolls about 1,000 students from 29 states and territories, the District of Columbia, and seven foreign countries in its undergraduate liberal-arts program and four master’s degree programs. Joshua currently studies astrodynamics at Virginia Tech University and is an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. Candidate.
