Greensboro College Names Anna Carter Visiting Instructor of Exercise and Sport Science

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College has named Anna Carter a visiting instructor of exercise and sport science in the Department of Kinesiology.

Carter had been an adjunct instructor in the department since 2013. She also owns Anna Carter Fitness, a personal fitness and nutrition coaching business in Oak Ridge, N.C., and is a partner in Fit Finders Inc., an Atlanta-based consultant to the fitness industry.

From 2006 to 2013, she served as director of the Family Life Center, a nonprofit fitness center housed at First Christian Church of Kernersville, N.C.

From 1999 to 2006, she was owner of The Fitness Zone, a business in Milford, N.H., that provided programming, marketing, human resources, inventory control, seminar leadership and other services for three Milford-area fitness businesses.

She holds a B.A. in public policy analysis and exercise science and an M.A. in exercise physiology, both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
