Greensboro College welcomes five new full-time instructors to its staff this fall.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Dr. Sandra L. Cooke will join the School of Science and Mathematics as an Assistant Professor of Biology. Dr. Cooke most recently was an assistant professor of biology at High Point University, after stints as a lecturing fellow and research scientist at Duke University. She received a Ph.D in earth and environmental science at Lehigh University and completed degrees in pre-professional zoology/environmental studies from Ohio Wesleyan University.Dr. Henry S. Kuo will be a Visiting Assistant Professor of Theology and Ethics in the School of Humanities. Dr. Kuo holds a Ph.D. in systematic and philosophical theology from the Graduate Theological Union in association with the University of California at Berkeley, a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, an M.A. in economics from University of Illinois, and a Bachelor of Science in economics and mathematics from Wheaton College.

Catherine Gold will join the athletic training staff a Visiting Assistant Professor of Kinesiology.  An experienced ACSM Certified Personal Fitness Trainer, she has been a local trainer and fitness instructor and worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner for 11 years.  She has a Master of Science in nursing from UNC-Chapel Hill, and a Bachelor of Nursing from Towson University. She holds certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Heart Association, and the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

Sean Alexander Saari is becoming an Assistant Professor of Theater in the School of Arts. He has been part time adjunct professor at GC for the past five years. He earned a master’s of fine arts in theatre and film studies from University of Georgia, and a Bachelor of Arts in design technical theatre from Greensboro College.

Mahealani M. Jones joins the School of Arts as an Instructor of Theater, having extensive experience in local and regional theatrical companies as costume designer, instructor, wardrobe supervisor, and costume shop manager, most recently at Triad Stage. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from North Carolina School of the Arts, and an associate of fine arts in drama from Wayne Community College.
