Mahealani Jones started as an engineering major for 3 years at NC State University before switching into the arts field. She has an AFA in Drama from Wayne Community College (2002), and a BFA in Costume Technology from the University of NC School of the Arts (2006). She apprenticed for two seasons at the Santa Fe Opera as Stitcher/Dresser apprentice, returning a third season as an Assistant Wardrobe Supervisor and has continued to return various seasons as a First Hand during the summer. Mahealani has worked for many local theaters including Triad Stage as an Assistant Costume Shop Manager and a Wardrobe Supervisor and Piedmont Opera in Winston-Salem for three years as their Costume Coordinator. Her experience with education includes six years as the Costume Director and Shop Manager for Guilford College, as well as 5 years at the University of NC – Greensboro with basic sewing classes and shop work. She has worked with IATSE in projects such as Cary Underwood’s tour at Greensboro Coliseum as a stitcher, and most recently on Wicked assisting with wigs. When she is not working, she enjoys performing in local independent films, participating with the Boy Scouts as an assistant scout leader for Troop 101, and the SCA, and has spent 18 years on the cast of the Carolina Renaissance Festival. She is also an alumni of Alpha Phi Omega co-ed service fraternity, Iota Lambda chapter (NCSU).  She and her husband, Christopher have been married for 15 years and has a 14 year old son, Aidan.

Joshua currently studies astrodynamics at Virginia Tech University and is an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. Candidate.
