Greensboro College Welcomes Assistant Director of Public Safety and Security, Raymond Reese

Greensboro College welcomes its new Assistant Director of Public Safety and Security, Raymond Reese. With three decades of experience in the Greensboro Police Department, Reese has been recognized for his expertise in problem-solving and leadership. He worked as a Patrol Officer, a Detective in Narcotics and then as Detective in the Criminal Investigation Division.

After retiring from GPD, Reece joined the Guilford Technical Community College Police Department as a Patrol Sergeant and later a Campus Police Lieutenant. He served as GTCC Interim Police Chief twice and retired this spring after 11 years with the department. 

Reese is a life-long resident of Guilford County and is married with two children.

Dr. Josh Fitzgerald earned his master's from Virginia Tech University (studied astrodynamics) as well as earning an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. He joined the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX as an Advanced Mission Design Engineer, optimizing trajectories for the Artemis II and III missions to return humans to the moon.
