Greensboro College Promotes Jason A. Myers to Associate Professor

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College has promoted Jason A. Myers, assistant professor of religion, to associate professor of religion.

The college Board of Trustees approved the promotion at its meeting May 11.

Prior to joining the faculty in 2015, he was pursuing his doctorate at Asbury Theological Seminary, where he was a teaching assistant for a variety of New Testament courses between 2011 and 2015.

 

Prior to that, Myers taught online courses on the gospels of Matthew and John for Taylor University in Indiana. He also taught adjunct at Cornerstone University in Michigan between 2008 and 2010 and was a teaching assistant at Cedarville University in 2006-2009.
 
Myers also has taught intensive courses internationally at the West Africa Theological Seminary in Nigeria, the New Theological College in India, the Baltic Methodist Theological Seminary in Estonia, and in several places in Rwanda. Most recently he taught a module on Galatians for Westminster Theological Centre in Telford, England, where he also advises master’s-level research. 
 
He holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Cedarville University, an M.Div from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in New Testament studies from Asbury Theological Seminary.

Joshua currently studies astrodynamics at Virginia Tech University and is an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. Candidate.
