Jessica (Jessie) Rae is the assistant professor of biology at Greensboro College in the School of Math and Science. She earned her BS in biology from the University of NC at Charlotte in 2006 and taught high school science until completing her MS from the University of Nebraska Kearney in 2014. She joined the Greensboro College biology department in 2014 as an adjunct, where she taught General Biology and Human A&P for five years. She then separated from GC for three years while pursuing a Ph. D. in Instructional Design and Technology and teaching online with American Military University and Southern New Hampshire University.   

Jessie Rae rejoined the Greensboro College biology department full-time in 2022 as an assistant professor. She is a Ph. D. Candidate and is completing her dissertation examining biology faculty experiences with change as they transition from traditional laboratories to non-traditional laboratories.

Joshua currently studies astrodynamics at Virginia Tech University and is an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. Candidate.
