The Greensboro College Department of Art presents its Spring 2019 Senior Art Exhibit, opening April 4 in Anne Rudd Galyon and Irene Cullis galleries in the Cowan Humanities Building on campus.
The exhibit opens with a reception, 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 4, and will be up through May 10. Regular gallery hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays. Closing dates vary by artist. Admission is free, and the public is invited.
Those showing their work are:
- Meegan McCarthy, “End the Stigma,” black-and-white photographs of 13 individuals with developmental disabilities
- MaKayla Humphreys, “Yesteryear,” installation, acrylic, watercolor paintings, pencil, and charcoal drawings intended to conjure the illusion of the artist’s family’s farm and rural Randolph County life.
- McKenzie Lester, “On the Road Again,” 12 black-and-white images, both 35mm film and digital, of abandoned and semi-abandoned railroad structures around North Carolina.
- Darian Welty, “Art Education Collaboration,” a combination of images in various media by Welty, who also is graduating with teacher licensure in Art Education, and works by some of her current students.
