The PEAK & Advising

Advising and Registration for Summer and Fall 2021 Classes

The advising/registration period for Summer and Fall 2021 classes is Monday, March 22 – Friday, April 16.  Within those 4 weeks, these activities will happen:

First week, March 22 – 26:  Advising only

Second week, March 29 – April 1:  Advising continues; online registration in Empower opens on this staggered schedule:

Monday, March 29:  Seniors and graduate students

Tuesday, March 30:  Juniors

Wednesday, March 31:  Sophomores

Thursday, April 1:  Freshmen and all others

Third and fourth weeks, April 5 – 16:  Advising and registration continue

Make every effort to register as soon as possible during the advising/registration period!  Your chances of getting the classes you want and need are much better the sooner you register.

Students must meet with advisors before registering to get their PINs for accessing registration in Empower and to plan Summer and/or Fall 2021 schedules.

Virtual Open Advising

The PEAK will offer virtual open advising during the advising/registration period as an alternative to meeting with assigned advisors.    You can sign up for a conference with a PEAK advisor during these days and times:

  • Tuesday, March 30:  2 – 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 1:  9 – 11 a.m.
  • Monday, April 5:  2 – 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, April 7:  2 – 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, April 14:  9 – 11 a.m.
  • Friday, April 16:  2 – 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 20: 2 – 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 22: 9 – 11 a.m.

To be placed in a virtual advising queue, please complete this form.  The next available PEAK advisor will contact you based on your communication preference.  Any forms submitted outside of the hours above will be answered during the next Virtual Open Advising session.  Because the number of students who sign up for Virtual Open Advising may be high at times, there may be a delay before a PEAK advisor will be available to contact you.  We will follow up with you!  Please do not answer a phone call or Google Meet request from us if you receive it while you are in class. We will try again later until you are available.

Students who attend a virtual open advising session should always consult with their assigned advisors as well and communicate about plans.

Please contact the PEAK at or the Registrar’s Office at with questions related to advising and registration.
