The Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CETL) consist of the CETL Director and two faculty members, appointed by the Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs. The CETL Director is the chair of this committee. The Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean of the Faculty, and the Director of Assessment Activities are ex officio members of the CETL Advisory Committee.
The primary duties of the CETL Advisory Committee are as follows:
Innovative Teaching Grants provides support for projects focused on new approaches to teaching that foster engaged learning. “New” approaches refer to substantive changes in an instructor’s pedagogy. Innovative Teaching Grants are intended to provide faculty with an opportunity to try new techniques, activities, pedagogies, technology and course structures that can reasonably be expected to increase students’ active engagement and learning in a course.
CETL provides programming and assistance for faculty and staff to enhance their work as educators. We offer inclusive space for faculty and staff to meet for personal and professional growth. We focus on teaching, learning, and instructional technology.
