GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College honored six outstanding student musicians at the college’s spring Jazz Ensemble concert April 30.

The awards and their winners are:

  • Blanche Burrus Piano Scholarship: Natalie Danielle Craven, a sophomore K-12 music education major from Archdale, N.C.
  • Hunt Family Music Scholarship: Ashton Jay Albright, a sophomore K-12 music education major from Liberty, N.C.
  • Luella Pugh Knott Music Award: Tesla Ann Chapman, a senior music major from Randleman, N.C.
  • Luella Pugh Knott Music Award: Jonah Benjamin Springs, a senior K-12 music education major from Stokesdale, N.C.
  • Jazz Ensemble Award: Brooke Nicole Peele, a sophomore K-12 music education major from Winston-Salem, N.C.
  • Jazz Ensemble Award: Jeremiah Eugene Campbell, a junior music major from Greensboro, N.C.

The awards normally would have been presented as part of the college’s annual Academic Awards Convocation, held April 22. But they were delayed so that the winners, then on a Music Department trip to New Orleans to perform, could be present.
