Health Services

The central focus of Health Services is prevention, education, self care and wellness. The Student Health Center provides medical care for acute illnesses and injuries.

The Student Health Center is conveniently located on the first floor of Greensboro Building, directly above the cafeteria.  Some of the services offered are:

• Management of acute problems by a registered nurse, with easy access to a physician by telephone Monday through Friday.
• Physician Assistants are available by appointment 6 hours per week.
• Over-the-counter medication is available at no cost to the student.
• Laboratory testing, when ordered, will be billed to your insurance by Spectrum Laboratory, Inc.

Referrals may be made to outside specialists, area Cone Health hospitals and/or other medical facilities when such care is needed. The student will be responsible for all charges incurred at those facilities.
