Merit-based
Merit-based scholarships are determined by a student’s academic grades and accomplishments. This category also awards Honors Program scholarships including James S. Barrett, Presidential and Honors. View the table above to learn more about these scholarships. Learn more at greensboro.edu/academics/programs/honors/ Competition for our highest academic scholarships is held on Honors Day, Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, by invitation only.
Need-based
Each year, we offer our students need-based scholarships to help them achieve their academic goals. Our Office of Financial Aid is committed to assisting every student with options to pay for their Greensboro College education. Scholarships are awarded based on the student’s need as computed from his or her FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Our FAFSA Code is 002930.
Leadership
Students who have achieved honors in leadership and service could be eligible to receive an additional $1,000 scholarship. Examples include the Eagle Scout and Gold Awards in scouting.
Performance Activity Grants
Students could be eligible for activity grants recognizing performance in the Greensboro College concert bands and vocal groups. Only limited numbers of activity grants are available to students.
United Methodist
Recognizing our heritage as a Methodist-affiliated college, we offer up to $2,000 scholarships to Methodist students.
