Athletic Training

The Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) at Greensboro College is a professional program that allows students to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training.  Click here for the ATEP Web site.  The program provides a strong academic curriculum that allows the student to gradually build on previously acquired knowledge.  Students majoring in Athletic Training complete clinical experiences that expose them to the many facets of the Athletic Training profession.  Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to sit for the Board of Certification, Inc (BOC) examination.

Exercise & Sports Studies

The Exercise and Sport Studies Program at Greensboro College is an undergraduate, Bachelor of Science program.  It supports the long-standing tradition of offering educational excellence in the liberal arts.  Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared for entry-level positions in health promotion, health fitness and the sport industry.  Students are also prepared to enter graduate programs in related disciplines.  This program challenges students to study various dimensions of sport and physical activity in our society.  Students are given opportunities to explore career paths and employment settings by completing internships during their junior and senior years.

Health & Physical Education

The Health & Physical Education Teacher Education Program is focused on the preparation of health and physical educators. The program provides experiences that enable students to acquire the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to teach comprehensive health education and developmentally and instructionally appropriate physical education. Graduates of the program have a sincere interest in promoting the health of all people and are personally committed to an active, healthy lifestyle.
